What to Expect

For most of our patients, the initial visit last one hour or less. Once you’ve filled out the required paperwork, your exam starts with a thorough review of your health history. Then a computerized diagnostic scan of your nervous system (a surface EMG and Thermography) is performed in order to asses how well the different parts of your nervous system are functioning.
Next, your posture is evaluated by perfoming a palpation assessment of your spine. Dr. Steve checks the joints of your spine by hand to detect areas of subluxation (ie. vertebrae that are out of alignment). The palpation also assesses abnormal spinal curvatures, muscle tone or spasms.
If it seems that your symptoms might be the result of nutritional deficiencies or exposure to the many chemicals in our food and environment, Dr. Steve may also recommend a Nutritional Healing Examination. This allows him to rule out these issues, and make sure your body has what it needs to function at its best and heal itself (with a little help).
After your initial exam, you’ll set up a time to meet with Dr. Steve to go over your Report of Findings. This gives him time to analyze the results of your exam and make the best possible decisions regarding the type of care you need to achieve your goals.
